Belgium - Brussels & Brugge
We took in a weekend trip to Belgium where we positively pigged out … chocolate, waffles, double fried frites, seafood and Belgium beer … it’s a hard place not to eat in. In between stuffing our faces we did sneak a peak of the fabulous grand place and near there the most famous little man in Brussels – mannakin pis. We also discovered a neat area. Sablon (or something like that!) filled with antique and design shops and lined with lovely cafes and restaurants. There is also a weekly antique fair there. It was a great place to spend a Sunday morning with some raspberry beer!

We spent one day in Brugge, one of the loveliest cities in Europe. It has definitely become popular since I last visited on my exchange in uni … it was just packed with tourists. The market square is still my favourite spot there.
