Nottinghill Carnival X2

It's that time again! Can't believe a year has passed in London - we joined in our 2nd Nottinghill Carnival, this time from the inside! Our 'flat' is right in the middle of the large street festival, meaning all exits to the complex lead to music acts, food stalls and crowds of singing, dancing and in many cases drunk people. Good and bad. We decided to take advantage of our prime location by joining the Carnival in bits and bites, retreating back home when we grew tired of the crowds. Each morning of the long weekend we awoke to the dull thud of DJ acts and the smell of jerk chicken... this was soon followed by taking in the music and consumption of jerk chicken, corn and plantains, followed by kicking back at home, followed by jerk chicken.. etc..etc. Some pics ...
